Reimagined in Cold Foil
For The Art of Shine — The Fusion of Art and Foil, we invited Thai artists to see their work in a new light, replacing gold leaf and lacquer with cold foil. The collection was shown at PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2025 (BITEC, Bangkok · Booth F27 · 17–21 September).
Cold foil is usually thought of as a production tool. We wanted to see it as an artist's medium. Working with each artist, we reprinted their paintings and applied cold foil to the details — bringing a new kind of light to Thai lacquer, ink, and gold-leaf traditions.
Ten works came together for the exhibition — Thai mythology, quiet still lifes, wildlife, and portraits — each one reimagined in foil.
